Gakh History and Ethnography Museum, active since 1981, is a site where national and spiritual values are preserved through numerous collections, from ancient to more recent. The museum initially operated in the building of the 19th-century Allahverdi Church, then it was relocated to its current location in 1991.

Opened with nearly 500 exhibits, the museum now houses around 11,500 historical and scientifically significant artefacts that provide insights into Gakh's history and diverse landmarks. The museum’s collections, arranged into eight sections, allow visitors to learn about the customs, traditions and lifestyles of the people, from the distant past to the modern day. While exploring the museum, you can acquaint yourself with archaeological and ethnographic exhibits, as well as tools, utensils, textiles and samples of traditional clothing that reflect the designs of their era. In addition, various events and exhibitions are periodically organised at the museum.
