The trail starts in the village centre and goes towards the lower exit of the village. There is an Albanian temple near the cemetery in Dastafur village dating to the 15th century. However, in the 20th century it was vandalised by the Soviet authorities under the guise of reconstruction. Part of the temple was even blown up.

The paths leading to Chiragli are clearly visible everywhere and fully marked. Follow the signs: you have to cross the river via a small bridge in the lower part of the village and then continue through the forest. 3.1km after entering the forest you reach a crossroads. The right path goes 250m to Kollu village. After continuing for 1.4km on the left path you will reach the bank of Ganja river. Cross the river near the spring and the gazebo and walk in the opposite direction to the river’s flow. After 350m the road turns left and after 1.8km you will reach Chiragli village.
Although Chiragli village is located in the Dashkasan region, it is only accessible by vehicle from the Goygol region.
It is also possible to hike this route in the opposite direction.
Nearby trails
This trail can be connected to the Chiragli – Azgilli and Chiragli – Javadkhan peak trails.
Seasonality
It might be difficult to cross the Ganja river in rainy seasons (autumn and spring).
Food and accommodation
Take care to buy supplies before the trip.
Water
There is only one spring on this route other than those in the villages. It is on the left bank of the Ganja river, at the place where you cross it.
Transportation
You can take an ordinary taxi from Dashkasan to Dastafur village since the road to the village is in good condition. The cost is around 20 AZN.
Permits & Specially Protected Areas
No special permissions are required to walk on this trail.
Warning
There is no bridge over the Ganja river. As the river is fairly wide you will need to enter the river to cross to the opposite side. Therefore, it is not recommended to do so in rainy seasons, when the river level rises.
